A large London based Main Contractor that we undertake many jobs for, contacted us with a Project Brief, to replace some roof top decking.

We attended a site survey to quickly discover that the existing 4^th floor terrace decking was failing in most areas. The deck boards just didn’t seem up to the job.

The brief for the new installation was to remove all old decking boards, and the subframe below, carting all waste from site.

New install was to be Millboard, utilising their DuoSpan 51 joists, set up on DupLift joist cradles, and finished off with Enhanced Grain Golden Oak deck boards.

With the job firmly secured we got back in touch with our sources at Millboard, and quickly secured a delivery date within a week, for the new products.

On site we had to temporarily move the planters, and benching to enable the works, however whilst disconnecting the power, we stumbled across water filled connection boxes causing failure at the sockets and lighting set up

Client requested a cost for new, and within 2 days we offered a full proposal for new power and lighting, and quickly got the go ahead

With works back underway, all the old decking and framework was removed from site

The new materials then swiftly loaded to the 4^th floor, and expertly laid by our in house Carpentry team

Working alongside the team, the electrical contractors installed all the new power and lighting, to bring together a beautiful outdoor working space, to be enjoyed by those working in the building
